EXeso / Contemporary Jewelry
We create designer jewelry from recycled materials (such as CDs, DVDs, pet bottles) and 925 silver .–
All the pieces of EXeso are created by hand, with materials that have already fulfilled their (short) cycle of consumption and are fulfilling their long cycle of waste.
We put a stick in the voracious gear of the use it and throw it away, to give it use and beauty to what we are used to discard.
We emphasize the adaptability of the jewels, generating several interchangeable lines. The same piece can be customized and adapted at any time. We invite people to create, re-use and re-think.
EXeso’s tour
EXeso has participated in Drap Art 2017 (Atlántida) and in the Latin American sustainable fashion event MOLA 2019 (Montevideo), being part of the final fashion show of both events. It has also participated in fairs such as Ideas+, Camino Verde, DAS Feria de arte y diseño sustentable, etc.
It is a Urguay Natural brand and was highlighted as Innovative Project in Más Emprendedoras – OMEU (Nov. 2019).
EXeso obtained a special mention for recycling of materials applied in Design Jewelry in the Sustainable Fashion Award Uruguay 2021 (ORT Uruguay, United Nations in Uruguay and Moweek, with the support of Islowly).

Behind EXeso
I am Ximena Bentancor, I have always been involved with visual arts, I have training in plastic, ceramics, set design. I have a degree in graphic design, with training in jewelry. In 2014 I began to explore the waste creation world and consolidated then, the brand of jewelry with recycled I carry: Exeso / silver and upcycled.
Designing and developing unique and recreated design objects allows me to capture a lot of what I am. It allows me to create and express myself artistically and conceptually and to feel that the project makes sense, that the EXeso pieces contribute to the aesthetic and material environment and allow the user to create and be part of a change of values and choices.
